Fire Detection and Protection

Linear Detection is used ensuring the entire cooking hood (and ducting if required) is covered to detect fire. Therefore the system is not limited by the fact that heat has to be detected at specific points. Detection tubing is used both in front and behind the filters.

Rapid Fire Detection ensures fire damage is kept to a minimum, with workstations operational again with a minimum amount of down time. Our extensive tests in LPS 1223 designed kitchen show that a large number of factors are attributable to where heat will build up first. These include extraction areas and are not necessarily limited to directly above the source of the fire. Therefore linear detection provides the most effective form of early fire detection.

The Spoon2 Sp2 Fire Fighting Agent has been developed over years of extensive research ensuring the rapid and total extinguishing of flames and cooling of the oil and surrounding area to help prevent re-ignition. The Sp2 Fire Fighting Agent has a low pH. After discharge the system can be quickly cleaned, reset and the kitchen operational again within a few hours.
