Spoon2 - an effective part of your Fire Risk Strategy
How does Spoon2 work?
The Spoon2 system uses the latest in wireless technology linking critical appliances to the control panel, without the need for wiring, cables or mains electricity. For a full explanation, please see the How Spoon2 Works page.

How does Spoon2 help with my fire risk strategy?
Staff members on the premises are often unaware that a potentially dangerous occurrence is moments away. This danger could be due to the build up of grease in or around appliances or ducting, or through faulty thermostat controls and so on. This is where Spoon2 comes in.
Upon detection of a fire, sensors immediately trigger the Spoon2 system to extinguish the fire. The system can further be linked to other equipment to compliment and build upon current fire risk strategies to include isolating the energy supply to appliances and triggering fire alarms so that a full evacuation of the area can take place.

Will I have to close the kitchen whilst installation takes place?
No. The Spoon 2 Kitchen Fire Suppression and Building Management system can usually be installed and commissioned within 8 hours (dependant on design and size) and often during periods of business downtime.
Prior to installation a full site survey will take place, and an installation timetable agreed that is sensitive to key business and personnel factors.

What happens if we have a power cut, will the system still work?
Yes – The Kitchen fire Suppression System is essentially a mechanical system that operates independent from the power supply, so your appliances will have fire protection at all times
In relation to the monitoring side of the system, the on site Hub comes complete with Battery backup that will allow for signals to be sent to our monitoring station up to 48 hours after the power supply has been interrupted. The moment the power supply is interrupted, our monitoring station is alerted and will contact our clients to form an effective contingency plan.
